Secure Network Access System (SNAS)
SNAS is an indigenously developed network security appliance. It has multiple network security components like network admission control, dynamic host-aware firewall, network monitoring system and endpoint security solution. It ensures that endpoints in a network comply with network security policies of the organization. The host-aware Layer-4 stateful firewall has advanced features like bandwidth control and connection rate limiting. SNAS can also detect unauthorized devices present in the network. SNAS also supports endpoint agent software which can authorize the use of USB-based devices on endpoint. SNAS Agent supports Endpoint Application and Network Activity Monitoring. SNAS can ingest external threat intelligence in the form of whitelisted/blacklisted application hashes and blacklisted IP addresses. SNAS can be used to improve the cyber security posture of various enterprise networks and bring about greater visibility in network and endpoints.

A licensee needs to buy commercial off-the shelf servers and install SNAS using the network repository. Some guidelines on the specification of servers to be bought for a given network size will be provided to the licensee. The licensee needs expertise in networking and cyber security to properly deploy and configure the SNAS appliance on a customer network. Post-installation service/support need to be provided to the customer to meet the changing security requirements.
Since SNAS can be deployed as a critical inline network device, a 24×7 customer support desk over phone/email is desirable. It is recommended that the licensees establish defined service level agreements and escalation matrix.
The manpower requirements for deployment, integration on a customer site and continuous support are more prominent. It will be advantageous if licensee has a support team experienced in networking and cyber security that are stationed at multiple locations across the country for 24×7 customer support.
